Chuck Sr. was first introduced to the N-SSA about 19 years ago, by his neighbor Rick Moreland. Rick had invited Chuck Sr. and his family to attend a Spring Nationals competition as his guest. Chuck and his family had such a good time that they returned for every Spring and Fall National for about the next 4 years, until other family obligations did not permit them to attend.

It wasn't until his son became of age to travel on his own and join the team that he regained his interest in skirmishing, and returned to Fort Shenandoah some time in 2003. By the fall of 2004, Chuck Sr.'s son announced to the team that his father wished to join. Chuck Sr. began shooting in the Spring of 2005, and hasn't looked back.

In two years time, Chuck Sr. has earned a team medal in Musket Competition, and currently participates in Team Musket, and Team Carbine competitions. He hopes to be shooting in the Team Pistol competitions soon.

Chuck is a Computer technician for IBM, from which he will be soon retiring. His other hobbies include Boating, and Golf.
